“Doaa Abd El-rahman” The psychologist in life foundation has participated in workshop about “Reproductive Education and Sexual health) By invitation of Social Solidarity Directorate in Alexandria which was in the seat of Alexandria National Centre for woman health and development For Three days.

The first day was about :  adolescence and puberty, clitoridectomy harms and its ratio in Egypt and in Africa, Early Marriage, Human Trafficking And about the role of country and civic society organizations to face crimes against Female-Minors and its negative results which effect on the Egyptian society. And knowing laws and legislation which made to end this problem.

The second day was about :  STDs (sexually Transmitted Diseases) and its types, detection ways, treatment measures and its effect on Mother and Foetus health. And was about the importance of married couple early detection and pre-marriage medical tests to discover STDs and possible Genetic Diseases.

The Third day was about :  Early Marriage, describe touristic Marriage as Human Trafficking crime, the role of country and civic society organizations to face crimes against Female-Minors and its negative results which effect on the Egyptian society. Types of safe and danger Pregnancy, Natural and chemical abortion and its spreading ratio and its health and social reasons and about the role of early marriage in rising of abortion rate and wife-Minors death rate.

In the ending of workshop, Contraception ways and family Planning have been studied to reduce overpopulation and unwanted pregnancy by the least possible damage to women health.

It is worth mentioning that this workshop was a part of the “Start_Life” project, funded by Drosos Foundation, which was founded late 2003 as a private non-profit organization to support community development, located in Zurich, Switzerland. The Foundation is committed to empower marginalized people to live a decent life. Drosos seeks to achieve long-term change through the projects it supports in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Switzerland and Germany.

Drosos has been working in Egypt since 2007. The foundation strongly supports the following areas: income generation and harm reduction for vulnerable groups, social protection and reintegration, encouraging youth creative activities, as well as environmental protection.

Until the beginning of 2016, the Foundation supported 54 projects in Egypt, serving a wide range of beneficiaries including marginalized youth, women and children.
