End violence against women (16 days long campaign )

Life Foundation celebrated during its workshop, “Establishment of referral system for health and social protection services”, that was held in Al Ain Sukhna in the Dome Marina hotel from 24th to 26th November 2017.

With the participation of a number of specialists in the programs of HIV and AIDS treatment and addiction treatment, as well as the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the National Council for Motherhood and Childhood in addition to a number of NGOs, in the initiative (Unite to end violence against women).

The campaign, which was called on by the Secretary-General of the United Nations and repeated annually, aims to increase public awareness against gender-based violence and mobilize people everywhere to bring about change.

The campaign starts from 25th November to 10th December,  which is Human Rights Day.

The theme for the 2017 campaign is “We will leave no one behind, to end violence against women and girls.” This theme reinforces the campaign’s commitment to end violence against women and girls worldwide, reaching the most vulnerable and marginalized groups, including refugees, migrant women, minorities, indigenous peoples and populations affected by conflicts and natural disasters, among others, first as in previous years, Unite to end violence against women invites you to the “Orange World”. The ceremony started by the distribution of orange T-shirts and scarves that were designed and sewn by the hands of women who were able to build their lives once again and achieve creative production and innovation in their work with the help of Life Foundation.

The sewing workshop runs with Life Foundation’s support in Alexandria.
