Life Foundation launch its campaign “Step of Hope” challenge of change for female ex-prisoners

In the framework of project “Towards rehabilitation and reintegration prisoners with a focus on female prisoners” which funded by Drosos Foundation.

Life Foundation started its campaign (Step of Hope) in ElSharqia, Alexandria, ElBahira and ElQalubia governorates. Which is a challenge to Ex-prisoners for a tangible and real change in their life. Through starting “Monitoring on the ground” program to train them on various occupations to qualify them with required experience in the labour market and to pave the way for integration and de- social stigma.

“Monitoring on the ground” program is a training method to genuine practice which the trainee practice to use required machines and tools to acquire technical and life skills.

LFDCI has contracted with many of industrial workshops and vocational training centres to train beneficiaries in Alexandria, ElSharqia, ElBahira and ElQalubia governorates within target areas of project which the beneficiaries could join one of three courses of economic empowerment (income generating program, small projects program and employment program.

The beneficiaries started mentoring on the ground in Garments manufacturing, Printing, Cars’ carpets, Decoration and Handcrafts.
