Life foundation held its third preliminary meeting, with civil society organizations, representatives of public and governmental authorities in Qalubia governorate

 

Monday, 30/7/2018 Life foundation held its third meeting for the project “economic empowerment of female ex-prisoners through mobile commerce vehicles” with civil society organizations, representatives of public authorities in Benha city, in Qalubia, which was attended by political leaders, representatives of civil society organizations and with the massive presence of media professionals and representatives of National Council for Women.

Dr. Ahmed Amer El-khouly, General Secretary of the nation future party, Major General/ Magdy seif, Mr. Mahmoud Badr and Gamal Kosh, Members of Parliament were among the attendees; which they liked and expressed interest in the project and made suggestions that may benefit the project in its different stages and they also expressed the need to cooperate with the foundation to remove the obstacles that may face the project.

National Council for Women was involved in organizing the meeting represented by Dr. Jehan Fouad, Rapporteur of National council for women in Qalubia, which she emphasized the necessity of the bilateral cooperation between the council and Life foundation to achieve the agreed targets which benefit women generally and female ex-prisoners particularly.

Media also was among attendees which Mr. Abou Sareea Imam, managing editor of El-Ahram Newspaper and a number of journalists have attended. Sheikh/ Saied Mahrous, Khatib and Imam at Awqaf Directorate in Qalubia and the representative of deputy minister of Awqaf spoke on behalf of Ministry of Awqaf.

As always, many of officers and representatives of community associations and institutions and civil society organizations in Qalubia, were among attendees, including World without borders Foundation represented by Mrs. Zienab Ibrahim, Mrs. Hanaa Abdulhalem, Member of Red Crescent, Mrs. Mariam Mikhail, representative of Zahrat Misr Association, Mr. Mohamed Mahrous Bidaya, representative of Bedaya Association, Mr. Omar Hussein, representative of Zahrat Elawtan, Mr. Moustafa Abdulhamid, General Manager of chamber of commerce and Mr. Mohamed Abdulmajid, Mayor of Kafr Elarbaeen.

All agreed that the idea is the best and it’s necessary to implement it to serve the target categories through mutual cooperation between attendees and Life Foundation.
